![]() (It's not as bad as you think, it'll go by smoothly as you get thru the test route) How awkward? A student I had told me this: that it's like having a live person give you directions just like a GPS would, except it's a live person, and they won't chat it up with you nor give you hints about what to do on certain maneuvers. Don't however, make too many mistakes and think you'll ace it - it'll shit you in the ass, for sure. (Obviously, the critical driving examples (see 4) are not exhaustive of what you can fail for, just saying).Do not get the idea that they're out to fail you because they don't like you you would only fail if you (a) commit a critical driving error (ie., you run over the curb, you run over a pedestrian, driving excessively fast, going too far below the speed limit, not checking a blind spot) or (b) miss more than 15 points on the driving portion on the exam. From start to finish, expect the examiner to be professional.Rest of the exam: lane changes (2), right turns (4) left turns (4) intersections (you're under scrutiny for _all_ of them) curb entry/exit/backing up in a straight line overall driving (business and residential zones).(Don't miss a single point on predrive - if you miss 3 or more, you're automatically removed from the test, and one of your test attempts get exhausted upon failure).Your use of the controls (lights, horn, emergency brake, climate controls, hazard lights) are also being assessed. Know how to indicate manual arm signals using your left arm. Predrive assessment - horn, tires, doors, windows, etc, in working order. ![]()
